Welcome, If you've arrived here then you
probably already know about the Rover 75 / MG ZT Group on Yahoo Groups.
If not then why not join, just click on the Yahoo link opposite.
19th August 2006 - I found this nice little video 'Rover 75 Tribute' on YouTube this afternoon. Click the play icon to run. Thanks to Andy Carr who has many other Rover related videos on YouTube.
18th June 2006 - Paul Bramble has kindly scanned some magazine articles for me. There's a few buying guides and some maintenance articles. As I can't think where to put them (in the menus) I've just made a page for them which can only be accessed by clicking here at the moment. All the pages are stored individually as PDF documents. I'm sorry about the text quality, I can only think Paul had anti-aliasing off at the time.
28th May 2006 - I returned from holiday this week to find an e-mail in my in-box from the Editorial Director of Haynes. It was confirming that there will be a Rover 75 Haynes Manual published in June/July 2006 (I know some of you were already aware of this). He'll be getting back in touch with me around then to let me know more.
12th Apr. 2006 - On my travels around the web I ended up on the Corgi Collectables Web-Site this evening. In their 'Vanguards' Range they have a number of models of the 75 and ZT some of which are now available at a reduced price. By the way, true to the real-thing, Corgi are no longer made down the road from me in Swansea but have been manufactured in China since the early nineties, how coincidental is that?
21st Feb. 2006 - Chinese carmaker Nanjing Automobile is expected to renew its lease on the former MG Rover factory at Longbridge, in the West Midlands. The move will keep alive the hope that Nanjing could restore car production at Longbridge. Read the whole story on the BBC here.
5th Feb. 2006 - After spending the last week tearing my hair out over CGI and Perl scripting, I've finally managed to add a 'guestbook' to this site. Please click on the icon and add your name, even if it is only to bolster my own ego - now it finally works.
7th Dec. 2005 - Following a group post today from Kevin Lunn I'm doing my bit for cheaper fuel in the UK by promoting the Pipeline Card. It's a fuel discount card and it's completely free to register with the scheme. If you, like me, have had enough of paying through the nose for your petrol/diesel then click the link (or the logo) and register now!
22nd Nov. 2005 - I've added some excellent photos of the now empty Longbridge plant to the Photos Page today. The photos were taken by "Oxygen Thief" and "Raddog" who have very kindly allowed me to reproduce them on this site. Both are members of the 28 Days Later web forum.
Since the demise of Rover back in mid April
2005 the many owners of Rovers probably feel that there is no more
support for their pride and joy. Far from it, there is considerable
support available through the internet, the fantastic Rover 800 Page or
The Unofficial Austin Rover Web Resource, to name just two such sites.
Both these and others can be found on my links page.
This site has been started as a companion to the Yahoo Group for the
Rover 75 and MG ZT. The original idea was to provide a resource of
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) to save repeated questions being
asked on the Group, somewhere owners can come to find the answer to
their problem or question.
Please be aware, this site is in no way
affiliated to any other site or resource relating to Rover cars or the
Rover / MG companies.
