Welcome, If you've arrived here then you
probably already know about the Rover 75 / MG ZT Group on Yahoo Groups.
If not then why not join, just click on the Yahoo link opposite.
12th Jan. 2008 - I don't normally advertise here but I felt this was worth mentioning. I've just used a fantastic product in my own MG ZT-T V6. It's advertised as a 'Power Enhancer' but it cleans your fuel system out, injectors, intake valves etc. I had a clatter at idle (not loud but still very noticable) which I'd put down to a tappet or similar. After only 50 miles (after adding BG44K) the clatter has completely gone. My 75,000mile V6 now sounds so sweet it's unbelievable. At almost £30 a tin it's not cheap but there's no denying it works. 26th Feb. 2007 - Roewe Web Site. - I'm sure I'm probably late with this but I've just found the Roewe (Chinese Rover) Web Site. You'll probably get a lot more from it if you can read Chinese (which I can't) but the pictures are quite good. Click the badges to go to the site.
2nd Feb. 2007 - Keith Alexander has very kindly offered use of his T4-Testbook Computer (for a small fee). For more details have a look at the Electrical FAQ's Page.
9th Dec. 2006 - Road Pricing Petition. - My wife hightlighted this to me today, a petition against road pricing in the UK. The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about 200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was 28 for a rural florist and 194 for a delivery driver.
A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid 86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect an NIP with your monthly bill.
If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the Car/Van/Bike User, please sign the petition. Click on the icon to be taken to the official government petition site.
8th Dec. 2006 - Well, I'm not too sure what to make of the new Roewe 75 from China but you make up your own mind. Some photos can be found at the end of my Photos Page, just click on the photo to the left.
27th Nov. 2006 - Finally the long-awaited Haynes Manual is available for the Rover 75/MG-ZT. Click the Haynes Book to go to the Haynes site now and order your copy.
13th November 2006 - I've got the Hi-Line Sat Nav Manual, 33 pages of it, in PDF Scans. Just go here and help yourself. All the pages are stored individually as PDF documents.
19th August 2006 - I found this nice little video 'Rover 75 Tribute' on YouTube this afternoon. Click the play icon to run. Thanks to Andy Carr who has many other Rover related videos on YouTube.
18th June 2006 - Paul Bramble has kindly scanned some magazine articles for me. There's a few buying guides and some maintenance articles. As I can't think where to put them (in the menus) I've just made a page for them which can only be accessed by clicking here at the moment. All the pages are stored individually as PDF documents. I'm sorry about the text quality, I can only think Paul had anti-aliasing off at the time.
12th Apr. 2006 - On my travels around the web I ended up on the Corgi Collectables Web-Site this evening. In their 'Vanguards' Range they have a number of models of the 75 and ZT some of which are now available at a reduced price. By the way, true to the real-thing, Corgi are no longer made down the road from me in Swansea but have been manufactured in China since the early nineties, how coincidental is that?
21st Feb. 2006 - Chinese carmaker Nanjing Automobile is expected to renew its lease on the former MG Rover factory at Longbridge, in the West Midlands. The move will keep alive the hope that Nanjing could restore car production at Longbridge. Read the whole story on the BBC here.
5th Feb. 2006 - After spending the last week tearing my hair out over CGI and Perl scripting, I've finally managed to add a 'guestbook' to this site. Please click on the icon and add your name, even if it is only to bolster my own ego - now it finally works.
Since the demise of Rover back in mid April
2005 the many owners of Rovers probably feel that there is no more
support for their pride and joy. Far from it, there is considerable
support available through the internet, the fantastic Rover 800 Page or
The Unofficial Austin Rover Web Resource, to name just two such sites.
Both these and others can be found on my links page.
This site has been started as a companion to the Yahoo Group for the
Rover 75 and MG ZT. The original idea was to provide a resource of
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) to save repeated questions being
asked on the Group, somewhere owners can come to find the answer to
their problem or question.
Please be aware, this site is in no way
affiliated to any other site or resource relating to Rover cars or the
Rover / MG companies.
